Fresh new game DLC for Risk of Rain 2
Risk of Rain 2: Survivors of the Void is a premium action title for PC by Hopoo Games. It's a DLC for the roguelike shooter, Risk of Rain 2. A gateway to an unknown void has opened and with it, corrupted creatures have come to invade and engulf the world in darkness.
Building upon Risk of Rain 2, the Survivors of the Void introduces additional stages to explore, as well as a bunch of weapons and gear to help players face another roster of tough enemies. They will also get to try out new playable characters.
Survive the Void
In Risk of Rain 2: Survivors of the Void, the Gateway to the Void has opened, unleashing a corrupted power that threatens Petrichor V. The Void Creatures have long collected various artifacts from your homeworld to increase their dominance but have set their sights on you and your comrades this time around. With the ability to enter the Void yourself, it's time to take the fight to them.
This game introduces two new survivors to play, namely the Void Fiend and Railgunner, each with its own unique set of skills and abilities that they can bring to the fight. When it comes to new items, there is a variety that you can expect. You'll get 14 Void, four Lunar, 18 Normal, and five Equipment to unlock and utilize.
What's more, you'll get to face nine monsters, three bosses, and two elite types throughout your adventures. Speaking of, there are quite a few locations to traverse, with Aphelian Sanctuary, Sulfur Pools, and Siphoned Forest as available new areas. Unfortunately, though, given the many additions that this new DLC has brought also came with some game balancing issues across all items, enemies, and even the new characters.
Into the Void
Overall, if you've been having a great time playing the base game, Risk of Rain 2: Survivors of the Void is a great DLC that adds to the already great experience. There is plenty of new game content to discover and enjoy, and you even get two new characters to try out. This is an easy recommendation and pretty much a must-play.
